As Abuja emerges as a hub for cultural and intellectual exchange, the educational landscape is poised for a significant transformation with the inauguration of Abuja World Academy, a new British school committed to innovation and excellence.

Mr. Joe Daly, the head of Abuja World Academy, expressed his dedication to revolutionizing education through the unveiling of the school’s state-of-the-art campus in September 2024. Rooted in the principles of British education while tailored to the Nigerian context, the academy aims to equip students with a competitive edge for success as they progress to top-tier universities worldwide.

“Our mission at Abuja World Academy is to cultivate a dynamic, nurturing, and safe learning environment, fostering inquiry-based education and nurturing ethical values to nurture students into innovative and capable global leaders,” stated Mr. Daly in a press release.

Operated by The Regent School, a United Kingdom OFSTED accredited institution, Abuja World Academy shares a commitment to providing the highest standard of education within an engaging academic setting dedicated to the holistic development of each student.

The school will cater to students from Early Years through Year 11, accommodating learners aged 18 months to 17 years old. With facilities slated for completion in June 2024, the new academic year will commence in September 2024.

Leading Abuja World Academy will be two highly experienced British educators. Mrs. Dominique Dyer, the Executive Headteacher, brings a wealth of leadership experience from schools in the United Kingdom, supplemented by her tenure as the Head of Abuja Preparatory School in Nigeria. Joining her is Mr. Joe Daly, the Head of School, whose extensive leadership background spans from the UK to Southeast Asia.
