Kayode Cole was apprehended by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday, March 18, 2024, from the Lugbe area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. His arrest came after he issued a death threat against Ola Olukoyede, the Executive Chairman of the Commission, through a comment on Instablog9ja’s Instagram page.

Cole, using the Instagram handle “1billionsecretss,” made the threatening remark in response to a story posted by Instablog9ja on February 1, 2024. Reacting to the post, Cole ominously predicted Olukoyede’s demise within six months.

During interrogation, Cole claimed that his comment was merely an attempt to gain attention, admitting to “chasing clout.” However, the seriousness of his threat prompted authorities to take swift action.
