Nigeria Unveils Sami Court: Luxury Hotel at Abuja Airport Charging ₦115K Per Night

In a significant development, the Nigerian government has introduced the country’s first-ever hotel within the premises of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja (NAIA), named Sami Court.

During the unveiling ceremony, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, highlighted the hotel’s importance as a long-standing stakeholder in Nigeria’s aviation sector. He emphasized that this initiative aims to enhance passenger comfort during transit, representing a step forward in the government’s commitment to collaborating with the private sector for sectoral improvement.

Keyamo stated, “This is not merely a one-time occurrence; it reflects our new management’s strategy to partner with the private sector to enhance passengers’ experiences. Aviation sector CEOs and managers are diligently working behind the scenes to attract private investments, and Sami Court is just the beginning. In the coming months, expect more initiatives to be unveiled.”

Mrs. Olubunmi Oluwaseun Kuku, Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), also addressed the audience, highlighting the hotel’s features. Sami Court boasts 22 well-appointed rooms equipped with amenities tailored to ensure passengers’ comfort and convenience.

The introduction of Sami Court signifies a significant advancement in Nigeria’s aviation sector, signaling the government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and services within its airports. With its luxurious offerings, including a price tag of ₦115,000 per night, Sami Court sets a new standard for accommodation within airport premises, promising travelers a seamless and comfortable experience during their journeys.
