Following the viral proposal incident where Abia State University lecturer, Wisdom Anucha, proposed to his female student in a classroom, the couple has now set a date for their wedding.

On Valentine’s Day, Mr. Anucha made headlines when he knelt down with a ring in hand and proposed to his heartthrob in front of students. Photos of the proposal circulated on social media, sparking mixed reactions among Nigerians.

Despite criticisms from some quarters, both the university management and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) at the institution defended the lecturer, stating that he did not violate any university laws or ethical principles.

Now, Mr. Anucha has taken to Facebook to announce the wedding date. The couple’s church wedding is scheduled for April 6th. In a post shared on his page, Mr. Anucha expressed humility, respect, and responsibility as they invited well-wishers to witness their union.

Accompanying the announcement was a pre-wedding photograph of the couple, radiating joy and anticipation. The ceremony will take place at Saint Paul’s Anglican Church in Aba, the bustling commercial hub of Abia State.

As they embark on this lifelong journey together, Mr. Anucha requested prayers and support from friends, family, and the community. The announcement signals the next chapter in their love story and highlights their commitment to each other’s happiness and well-being.
