Price tag for Mbappe’s sale this summer: PSG would ask for 150 to 200 million euros

Mbappes sale this summer

The main football storyline will be Kylian Mbappe’s future for another summer.

There are numerous conflicting rumours on his potential departure from Paris Saint-Germain and the potential fee the French club would seek for their star player.

In order to prevent their top player from leaving for free at the conclusion of the season, PSG has “decided to listen to offers for Mbappe close to 150 million euros this summer,” according to sources consulted by ESPN.

In case Mbappe decides to leave this summer, US daily The New York Times published estimates estimating his asking price to be about 185 million euros.

For its part, the Daily Mail reports that if the price of Mbappe’s exit this summer is around 200m euros, Real Madrid would consider the operation.

Sources consulted by L’Equipe assure that Mbappe “will not leave on a free transfer under any circumstances”.

Mbappe tells his truth: I didn’t say I want to be sold to Real Madrid or that I wanted to leave

The only thing that has been known thus far is that Mbappe notified PSG by letter on Monday that he will not exercise the option to sign a one-year extension, which means that his contract with the Parisian club would end on June 30, 2024.

The PSG player responded to a Le Parisien article on his supposed desire to join Real Madrid this summer on social media: “Lies. Increasingly larger. I’ve previously stated that I’ll stay at PSG, where I’m very delighted, for the upcoming season.

The French striker made it clear that “I didn’t say I wanted to be sold to Real Madrid or that I wanted to leave, only that I won’t activate the option of the extra year (until 2025)” in an exclusive interview with the Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport. There has never been discussion of a renewal with PSG, and I’m pleased to stay for another year.
